Love, love, love. From sandwiches and pasteries to a magnificent breakfast, this is my go - to place to have breakfast. I went there many times before I realized there was a sit down area with a view of the bakery. The food was even better fresh out of the kitchen....fabulous Santa Fe must visit for breakfast. Yummy!!! And...they are consistently really nice, welcoming, friendly people.

We were in Santa Fe for a few days, ate breakfast at the Chocolate Maven every day. The best!

Great breakfast and pastry options. Love the mocha beverages. Longer wait than ideal and really close-in seating options. Rushed vibe getting in but tasty food and a developing staple in Santa Fe.

Two of us had breakfast there it was very good. My friend had pancakes with a side of bacon I had. Huevos rancheros and two coffees. The bill came to approximately $47 and with tip it was 56. I think this is too much for breakfast. I noticed some very nice pies there as well that we're going for 25 and $30 for a small 8 inch pie. I will not go back because I felt gouged and I think although the food is good, this place is overpriced.

Wow What a bakery....quite a place to tempt your taste buds Went in for Sunday breakfast and wasn't disappointed Prepare to wait for a bit for a table on weekends, but worth the wait. Try the green chile sausage....but every menu item is quite good.....good list of hot chocolate....check it out Parking.....3 ways to do it.....go in deep , as in all the way to the front door....risking blockage Or try the quite-large-parking-lot-for-Santa fe If full, street parking is eezy peezy.... Get to the Mavin....won't disappoint

Chocolate Maven Bakery (CMB), Santa Fe, NM seemingly known to all the locals for fresh baked goodies, cakes, pies, cookies, specialty cakes etc. with a small dine-in restaurant during breakfast, brunch. Latter closing by 2PM. Warmly welcomed once you stepped in, we were on the search for a sweet bite post-lunch. There's a lot offered and it takes a moment to take everything in. We ordered, paid, then took our goodies to enjoy in the outside seating area. * Red Velvet cupcake w/buttercream * Hazelnut cream espresso cupcake * Mexican wedding cookies. To take for sharing later: * Assorted empanadas, croissants Take home souvenirs: * Citlali pure Mexican vanilla extract * Mexican hot chocolate mix w/Chile The cupcakes were great! I like espresso anything. Fresh buttercream is always appreciated...yum. CMB is a down home neighborhood bakery, nothing special yet special enough. You have to drop by if only to drool at all their baked offerings! And the people behind the counter are ultra-nice. CMB offers delivery out-of-state on some of their specialties, like Red Chile Chocolate Pecan Pie -- That one made my eyes light up! Drop by for breakfast or brunch. And go slowly past their display cases of goodies. Or in reverse. Guaranteed you won't leave empty-handed!

10/10 ! @chocolatemaven has always been a dear favorite for coffee and pastries but today I decided to try one of their burger specials. It was fantastic! I ordered a bacon, green chile cheese, wagyu burger. The meat was cooked to perfection of my choice and I chose garlic house cut fries, which were crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend giving their specials a try. Stop by before September 10th. They have 7 different burger specials!

Breakfast + bakery review: Breakfast: I just had the most excellent breakfast with Ty L. Check out their review below for a unique perspective on Chocolate Maven (emphasis on chocolate). We went up the spiral staircase to an upstairs seating area that was quiet and private for the majority of our meal early-ish on a Sunday morning. I liked the paintings on the walls and the sunlight coming through the window to bathe the room in a warm natural light. Katherine recommended the frittata (for the vegetables), chilaquiles, and blue corn pancakes. I was intrigued by the peach and pickle burger, which I was told would be something interesting but not something I'd reorder. We ordered the frittata, 1/2 stack (1 pancake) of the blue corn pancakes, and the peach compote French toast. In hindsight, Katherine was 100% spot on in their recommendations, and I wish I had a Katherine to give me their honest thoughts on all food in my life. Service: Katherine was wonderful. The service was efficient. The food came out in a timely fashion. Food: Frittata - delicious. Can't go wrong with eggs and vegetables. Blue corn pancakes - I wish I had gotten a full order. I love the flavor and the subtly grainy texture, and the piñon complemented the flavor very well. The caramel (sweet brown sugar piñon sauce) around the pancakes was a delicious moat to dip the pancake and the peach compote French toast into. The blueberries, strawberries, and powdered sugar were the perfect toppings. Peach compote French toast - the bread (2 pieces) was thick and substantial. It was the perfect amount of syrup for me, and the bottom piece had imbibed the sweet cream cheese to become perfectly soggy. I hadn't had peach in a long time, so the peach compote was delightful, and there were even a few small plump/moist golden raisins. Bakery: After eating, we bought a medley of baked goods from the bakery downstairs The people at the register kindly explained what each item was, since they weren't labeled. I didn't see prices listed, so I will list some of them here. There was a 1/2 off basket, which contained mostly croissants and cinnamon buns. Cranberry Orange Pecan Muffin - $3.50 Cranberry Pecan Scone - $3.50 Apricot Cream Scone - $3.50 Blueberry Cream Scone - $3.50 Cheese Danish - $4.25 Raspberry Danish - $4.25 Cherry Chocolate Chunk Muffin - $3.50 2 Cupcakes (lemon raspberry, carrot) - $7.40 Holiday Round Sweet Challah - $8.00
